Merry Christmas

So I kind of cheated. I created a few collages instead of posting a ton of 'pointless' photos. Don't worry the individual photos won't disappear. It would take me foooooreverrrrrrr to get this up if I did it that way. And fear not, I've uploaded the photo collages at a larger size that the individual.

Our Christmas celebration began on the Eve. We went to Nanny & Pa's to see everyone . Silly me, we took the gifts that Nanny & Pa bought for the boys and Mykenzie's gifts. I never even thought about the loot we'd be bringing home. (you'll see it included in the Christmas tree/gift photo below- I like to put everything together to remind us how blessed we are) We purchased (for Nanny & Pa) two (Thomas) train sets for Cade and some sort of age appropriate car raceway for Nathaniel. Once the family cleared out we stayed a little longer and put the tracks together. Cade was hesitant at first, but he is head strong and was very tired. (the two don't mix) After he got all the trains on the track he was so excited! So was Pa. I won't lie, it was pretty fun to watch.

Nathaniel, Mykenzie & Cade

Joe & I had hoped the night had been so eventful that the boys would fall alseep on the way home. We were wrong. Though we had sandwiches at the Angles, we decided on Chinese (on the other side of town), a little driving is the best medicine for sleepy children. Except on Christmas Eve apparently. We got home and it took FOR-EVER for Cade to fall asleep. Santa & the Mrs. were exhausted by the time the few toys that needed assembled that night got finished. Cade of course got another train set for home. Nathaniel got a barn and a piano!!!
ok. it's just a busy table. but I loved it. loved it. loved it. of course.

Christmas 2011

Breakfast at the Sullivan's!!!! I know you'll never guess what Cade got. Ok, I'll tell ya, it was a train set. Why yes, he has a train set everywhere he goes. Nathaniel slept through gifts, but he got lots of cool stuff. We got to have a wonderful breakfast. Grandma, Nathaniel & I ran out to church for a moment. PaPaw Asbury met us there for lunch.

Funny side note: Cade was falling asleep at the table.
He got moved to a chair and shortly after Nathaniel fell asleep too.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!

We went to the Sullivans for a y.u.m.m.y. turkey dinner for Grandpa's birthday.
Here's a few pics of Nathaniel and all his cuteness.

It may be midnight, but I plan to post Christmas blog tonight.

Bath Time!!

The photos below pretty much speak for themselves.
This was the first time Nathaniel was in a big bath tub.
Also first time in the bathtub together.
Of course, cuteness ensued.

Wildlights

We took a super quick trip to Columbus.
We HAD to wish the elephants,
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

The lights were awesome. Everything was blanketed with lights. It was gorgeous.

As soon as we pulled into the parking lot Cade knew where we were. He started making elephant noises. We went straight to see them.
The elephants were in a nice warm area.

This turtle kept coming up to him. It kind of scared him a bit.

Yip, it was chilly:

Of course we went to give and get some love from Aunt Ann & Uncle Jim.

Picture Time!!!

We visited with Michael, Hillary & London on Saturday. SOOOO much fun. I went to try to take photos of London for their Christmas card. (And maybe a few of youngins' too) Trust me, tag team kids for photos is the best.

Always try to out number the kids!!

Here's a few of London:

This is Julian, Michael's nephew.
Needless to say we were out numbered by the kids.
But he was sooooo cute too!!!

M & M's and Haircuts

There's no denying that Cade HATES getting his hair cut.

Lots of crying.
Lots of tears.
Lots of screaming.
Lots of flailing arms.

Tonight I managed to convince him to let me cut his hair. And when I sat convince I mean I bribed him with a quarter pound bag of Mint M & M's. After finishing the haircut of course a change of clothes was in store. Cade proceeded to pull down his pull-up and went to the loo. AWESOME!!!!!

Looks like a big boy with short hair.
