Run for Your Life Charlie Brown!

Nate, he likes to run, a lot.

Cade, he likes to run, a lot.

We did a lot of running and walking this week.

Lets start with Nate, he also likes to sit in the refrigerator. Who's knows why, he just does.

Last Sunday it rained. Surprised, aren't you? Well it was just time to let them play in the rain. Unfortunately by the time we made it out to play it stopped raining, but we still played in the mud and dirt.

See? More running.

Lots of running.

Running wears out a little guy....

Keeping them stationary, put them in a box:

Their babysitter was on vacation this week, so we had to call in the troops and give mad props to MomMom for stepping and doing most of the work for the week.
They mostly stayed off and on with MomMom and Nanny, but Tuesday they both went to Beth's house. I got random photos through out the day. Beth's youngest was at football camp, they had to get him and made a stop at Ritter Park.

(More running)

On Thursday I asked my cousin Jennifer to watch Cade. He loved it, of course. Noah being a little bit older, but with VERY similar interests, he was content all day long.

Today we went to the Sherry Shumaker Memorial Pancreatic Cancer Walk. (See, more walking) Its in honor of one of our good friends mother. Coincidentally Michael, London's daddy, came to sing the national anthem. With the car accident and the babysitter being gone, Cade hadn't seen London in almost two weeks. They missed each other, check it out...

We had a pretty good week. I can tell you it's been a long one. I'm very ready to get back to a normal schedule and get passed all this car wreck stuff.

Peak at Our Week

Lets start with a cute pic from Sunday. Random fun in the truck.

Now for the goods. Monday evening Joe and the kids did their usual, dropping off Joe's car pool buddy and going home. I was on my way to Ashland to help a friend organize a few things for a charity walk. As I reached Kentucky Joe called, shaken. On their way home on Norway Avenue a lady crossed traffic in front of them, creating the following scene:

Here's a little progression of Cade, directly after the accident and every day since...

Nathaniel only ended up with a "burn" from his car seat harness:

We now have a rental car, same model as our other, just a year newer and somewhat fancier...

By Wednesday I was getting somewhat concerned for Cade's tiredness. So to the pediatrician we went. Dr. Willis is wonderful. He asked Cade what happened in the accident and patiently listened to him make up stories and be funny. He decided that it didn't look like his nose was broke, but we'd keep an eye on it. He said he may have suffered a mild concussion and just to keep rough play to a minimum for a while.

So for now we'll count our blessings that things weren't worse and just wait to hear about our poor little car.
