Walking?

No I haven't skipped a post about crawling. He doesn't crawl. He does get around, but its not crawling. Its a process and that process is hard to photograph and forget video, you'd be watching forever, he gets distracted easily. I digress. Last night Cade pulled this toy box over- yes, its a toy still in a box, from Christmas. (We were over blessed with toys for Christmas. Not that this makes it any better: but it was a toy I got with reward points at work- so it didn't cost anyone anything- no feelings hurt- no guilt for unopened box)
ANYWAY
Cade keeps asking us to open it, we think its more fun not to. We're calling it a Lesson in Patience...maybe a Lesson of Not Yours... maybe its just torture, he eventually quits asking and goes back to his toys. Last night he carried over to Joe, got the usual "no" and went on, but Nathaniel came over and used it to stand up. Then it moved and so did his feet! He made it half way across the room, before getting distracted by a maraca. I moved it to his other side, called for him (kodak moment) and he pushed it back towards us. Across the room! I'm not ready for this one to walk. At the rate time is passing, he'll be in college soon.

These boys are growing so fast, its hard to believe Cade will be three soon.
way too soon.
like right around the corner.
SOON!!!
did you hear me?
SOON!!
i might cry.

Nathaniel will be ONE
i don't even want to talk about it

Sunday Snaps

We weren't quite early enough for photos, but I snapped a few anyway. I
got Cade's hair calm and it needed to be photographed.

Here's a few I snapped through the week. I felt like I worked a ton, and barely saw these cuties, but my camera card would say differently. Nathaniel can't crawl, but he gets around. It's quite funny watching him maneuver. Sometimes Cade will leave him alone, but not usually.

Nate's checking out Cade's letter for the day (couple of days, actually).
Maybe he'll learn them as Cade does.
haha

Quick Pic

There's nothing better when I'm at work than getting a photo of the little ones. Daddy's Dinner Night- McDs & chocolate milk. Guess the little guy was too tired for his fries.

sNOw Problem

Where is winter??? I got this super cute pic of Cade when he was itty bitty. I love the snow, I love to watch it fall. I love the crisp air - I do not love the wind. I guess I shouldn't complain traveling even the three minutes to the Sullivans' is a pain in the butt.
Saturday we finally had a little snow, but as with the last two flurries we've had, I had to work. BUT it didn't matter, this snow was different...it was cold. I know what you're thinking, 'Cold- snow? Duh?" But this was bitter cold. My fingers hurt just getting into the truck for work it was so cold. So cold we skipped church on Sunday. Though by noon it was bitter outside. We ran to PopPop's & MomMom's for lunch with a photo op on the way...

look at his cheeks, how cold!

Though Cade has seen snow before, its still always new when he sees it.
Therefore I couldn't get him to look at me, he was amazed at the snow.

Grandpa Night & a bit more

Thursday night is what we call Grandpa night. For as long as I can remember we have gone to visit him (or 'them' when Grandma was alive). I love this tradition. Its a guarantee time to visit, we stop our busy lives and have family time. My kids love their great grandpa. He is wonderful if I do say so myself. He'll do anything they ask, which usually means getting in the floor.

Nathaniel is working hard on crawling and standing.
The only 'problem' we have...
Cade.
He won't leave him alone. He's always in his business.
Every chance we get we try to get him into the floor or play pen sans Cade.
He's so cute just trying...

Cade,
what a character
what hair...

Of course he's a typical two going on three year old.
But we'll keep him anyway.

8 Month Nate

Missing my cuties?
Life is hectic.
The end.

Here's a few photos from Nathaniel's photo shoot with Aunt Kristi.
He's eight months old- how bitter sweet is that?
