Not too much to report from this end of the world unfortunately. I've totally slacked on the posting, I know. Weird how I thought changing jobs would help me get more done, still haven't found that motivation I guess. For one thing, I still take a ton of photos BUT my computer got wiped cleaned after some issues, thus deleting my photo editing program. I now use something online and its tedious. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
One thing new is a tooth. Nathaniel FINALLY got another one, he's up to three now. I'm so happy they're arriving, but its bitter sweet, as soon as that mouth fills with teeth I KNOW he won't look like a baby any longer.
Let's talk a little bit about their personalities. Starting with Cade. He is very energetic. To the point that he gets like a caged animal if he hasn't had enough acitivity or if starts to get sleepy. Since starting day care his speech has improved tremendously. Though he's learning a bit more of how to talk, he's learning other things too. Oh what kids learn from each other, its such a vicious cycle of taunting, screaming, pushing, the list goes on and on. I observed him in VBS last week, for now he's a follower, not a leader and that's fine. He watches everyone to learn what they're doing first then goes on to do it (his way). As they were learning music and choreography I watched him dance the same dance he sings and does every day cause he loves it. Wondering if he was ever going to pick up on the moves for VBS music. By the end of the week, though I thought he was dancing to his own tune, he had mastered most of the motions and kept up. He let some teenager teach him bocce ball. That teenager was brave, but patient, he at least taught him to throw at the target. Cade is also pretty silly. Anything he can do to make anyone laugh, including himself, you can bet he's doing it. There's lots of giggling in our home and that's great. He's attempting to wear underwear when we're home. His teacher at daycare says he is wonderful when it comes to potty time, and I see that I barely replace diapers often there, but at home, its a whole other story. BUT one step at a time, we'll get there. Cade loves music and loves to dance, beware when Rio starts, its SHOWTIME! There are plenty more layers to Cade we'll unravel as he blossoms and grows.
How bout Nathaniel? Silly as his brother, playing peak a boo whenever possible. Always dancing to whatever tune must be in his head. We're hoping to get some words from him soon, he's trying, loves to mimic. Nathaniel is pretty awesome, easy baby. We had it so easy with Cade, and were blessed with an even easier Nathaniel. He loves food, he loves drink, he loves to go places, he looooooooves music, he loves to read...This kid already plays with cars and trains, making the noises and driving them all over the floor, furniture and whatever body part may be in the way. He's somewhat demanding when it comes to what he wants. He may not speak, but he has way of letting you know what he wants or does not want. The joke around here is Nathaniel has anger management issues. Stand back when he gets frustrated or you've done something not to his liking. How does one teach a fifteen month old biting is inappropriate? Good thing he doesn't have many teeth. That's his first defense, open mouth, JAWS coming at ya! He doesn't discriminate either, it could be the floor, toy or furniture that he gets mad at and turns all Incredible Hulk on. (Before his hair cut, if he had turned green and ripped his clothes when he got angry, he'd been spitting image of th Hulk.) Just another facet to Nathaniel, that we'll be learning about as he grows. It keeps things interesting here.
All in all life is wonderful, even with its normal ups and downs. I know I can always count on a toothless grin from Nathaniel or an, "I wuf you," from Cade with his fish lips ready for a kiss.
