Nat's Three Months!

So I may be the only one who calls him Nat, and that's ok with me. Anyway, can you believe he's three months old?? Seriously, where has time gone? Reflecting on the last three months I realize I AM the luckiest mother on the planet. When people asked if Cade was a good baby, I always replied the perfect baby. He was. Cade was happy all the time. He never cried- except feeding time and that was nothing. Pesky little fella just wanted to eat EVERY two hours., but even those every two hours at night he fell back asleep directly. With that being said...Nathaniel is even a better baby. I'm not comparing my children by any means. Each are their own and have their own personalities. But when it comes to 'babies' Nathaniel is awesome. He never cries, that is until he is hungry- and of course that's manageable. He loads up on formula before bed and usually doesn't wake up until Daddy's alarm rings. Even then, he's mostly patient enough for me to get up and get his bottle- no crying. Sometimes he has some gas issues, but who doesn't?
My two fellas are amazing. Cade and Nathaniel are so easy going, funny and just plain great. I'm not sure what we'd do if Cade was any funnier. Cade is two years old and sure, The Terrible Twos...blah blah blah. But his terrible twos aren't too terrible (I better not have jinxed myself.) Don't get me wrong, sometimes it's not all giggles and grins around here, but it is 93% of the time. I'll just keep expecting the worse, and be thankful for the best.

I'm also sooooo lucky cause I have two photographers in the family. We headed to Sarah's last night for some more Nathaniel photos. She was amazed at how easy his were to take. She just kept saying, "he's so easy, he such a smiley baby." AND luckily her puppy, Achilles, loved Cade and Cade loved him, they played outside almost the whole time. I also thought it was funny as we were leaving Justin (who had been helping Ivan hang some molding) said, "you're done with pictures already?" Too funny, my baby is a piece of cake, I just smiled.

Full Day

We went everywhere today! Or so it felt. Get ready for some random thoughts & random photos.
Grandma picked us up to go get the the little truck (it got new tires.) With a quick trip to Kohls, Cade escaped with some new shoes. (his feet are humongous!) We took Daddy & John John some Taco Bell- then headed on up to Hurricane for lunch with Hill Hill. (we got to take the camaro- FUN!!) The boys napped on the way back from Putnam, so we drove on in to downtown Huntington to see Grandpa at work. After that we stopped to see Uncle Ivan & Aunt Tracy at the Sullivans. Daddy came home and we went for yummy dinner and then to Sarah's for pics. (to be shown later)
What a day!!! The boys are dead tired and it's been a full full day.

Lots of visiting.
Visit recap:
Grandma @ Kohls & Sears
Daddy @ work (culloden)
Hillary @ lunch (hurricane)
Grandpa @ work (downtown huntington)
Grandma (again), Uncle Ivan & Aunt Tracy (huntington)
Sarah, Justin & Achilles {puppy} [Tracy & Ivan-again] @ west end

{yummy yummy yummy brownie w/cinnamon ice cream. did I say, yummy?}

Random Post of Friday

It has been a good week, nice and calm. I've been home in the evening a little more and its been nice. Its not so much that I was working a lot of evenings and weekends, but that I did a lot in a row. Cade is absolutely hilarious. I don't even know what we did for entertainment before he got here. He's beginning to talk a little more- scratch that. He's always 'talked' a lot, now he's really getting the hang of words and sentences. Its slow, but sure. I think we hear at least one to two new words a day. (Some children start this early. Some don't. Cade is the latter. At his last check up when he was jabbering I joked/expressed, "this is how he talks." The doctor replied, "Yeah, he's two, that's how two year olds talk." So with that statement my concern melted away.)

Nathaniel is FULL of smiles and giggles. He's a very content baby, we are so blessed.

Yesterday was my day off, usually I try to spend it with Grandma, Beth or Hillary.
Well, Grandma had the kids ALL week and needed adult time/ time to run errands.
Beth was at "the beach:"

(last years photo, haven't seen any from this year yet)

(just a cute recent pic of those kiddos)

And Hillary and fam are in Cali, visiting the main mouse, how cute?!?!

So instead we spent the day just, doing. Doing whatever. We woke up to the rain, and I had hoped to make it out on the porch before it stopped. We were early, but not that early. And no trip out back is complete without bubbles.

(yes, Nat is wearing long sleeves, long pants & socks.
no, it was not cold.
I am uber paranoid about bugs, and we have A LOT out back)

<<<<---------------THREE deer in our neighbor's back yard.
(the funky leg belongs to the baby hiding)

Yummy hands:

Sleepy time consisted of some driving.
I drove to the park to admire some of our hometown beauty.

Daddy got off work around for four and after packing up we headed to dinner and the store. You'll notice in the photo Cade is eating his chicken, but fed the french fries to all of his mini cars.

At Walmart we strolled the toy aisle wishing and dreaming. We did find a clearance Lego Thomas. We HAD to have that! It hasn't left his hand since then.

And then of course bed time!!!

Quick Pic

(scene: one morning before work-at the door trying to leave for Grandma's)

Me: Cade where's your shoes?
Cade: shoes
Me: Cade can you tell me where your shoes are?
(walking in the kitchen looking-walking into Nat's looking- walking into living room looking- glance back)

I guess he could wear daddy's sandals, but the stairs might be a challenge.
