Random Post of Friday

It has been a good week, nice and calm. I've been home in the evening a little more and its been nice. Its not so much that I was working a lot of evenings and weekends, but that I did a lot in a row. Cade is absolutely hilarious. I don't even know what we did for entertainment before he got here. He's beginning to talk a little more- scratch that. He's always 'talked' a lot, now he's really getting the hang of words and sentences. Its slow, but sure. I think we hear at least one to two new words a day. (Some children start this early. Some don't. Cade is the latter. At his last check up when he was jabbering I joked/expressed, "this is how he talks." The doctor replied, "Yeah, he's two, that's how two year olds talk." So with that statement my concern melted away.)

Nathaniel is FULL of smiles and giggles. He's a very content baby, we are so blessed.

Yesterday was my day off, usually I try to spend it with Grandma, Beth or Hillary.
Well, Grandma had the kids ALL week and needed adult time/ time to run errands.
Beth was at "the beach:"

(last years photo, haven't seen any from this year yet)

(just a cute recent pic of those kiddos)

And Hillary and fam are in Cali, visiting the main mouse, how cute?!?!

So instead we spent the day just, doing. Doing whatever. We woke up to the rain, and I had hoped to make it out on the porch before it stopped. We were early, but not that early. And no trip out back is complete without bubbles.

(yes, Nat is wearing long sleeves, long pants & socks.
no, it was not cold.
I am uber paranoid about bugs, and we have A LOT out back)

<<<<---------------THREE deer in our neighbor's back yard.
(the funky leg belongs to the baby hiding)

Yummy hands:

Sleepy time consisted of some driving.
I drove to the park to admire some of our hometown beauty.

Daddy got off work around for four and after packing up we headed to dinner and the store. You'll notice in the photo Cade is eating his chicken, but fed the french fries to all of his mini cars.

At Walmart we strolled the toy aisle wishing and dreaming. We did find a clearance Lego Thomas. We HAD to have that! It hasn't left his hand since then.

And then of course bed time!!!
