We headed to Columbus for a quick get away, and to use our zoo pass at least one more time before it expires. (We'll renew in December when we visit Santa Claus.) We had a great time, though it was REALLY REALLY HOT. I had forgot my sunglasses, and purchased some on the way in to the zoo, the air conditioning in the store was really holding me back. I wasn't ready to leave that sweet sweet cool air... aaaaaaahhhhh I digress, it was hot. Of course we visited the elephants first thing. Cade kept telling all the people around how cute the elephant was. We saw penguins, aquarium and the manatee. I feel like we saw more, but it was so HOT I can't remember.
Friday evening we ate with Aunt Ann & Uncle Jim and had a nice visit. Though we did cut it short, as everyone was due for some sleep.
Saturday started early, so we headed back to the zoo. It seemed like there were a lot of people there, but as we walked to Jack's Landing, there wasn't hardly anyone over there yet. We were the thrid family in line for the Sting Ray exhibit. Its a giant pool where 41 sting rays are free to swim and people are free to touch them. They feel like JELLO! It was really cool, but weird. I only touched one, not just because I was manning the camera and chasing a one year old around, but because I am only so brave. Sure they won't hurt you, I know that, but... its just hard to explain, I've done it and that's enough for me. Its hard to say whether Cade actually touched one or not, he says he did, but he couldn't quite reach as far as I think you had to get a feel. There's quite a few photos, I took a ton more but just wanted you to get feel of it.
Cade has been doing really well with the potty and Nathaniel has more teeth.
Life is pretty loud.
Life is pretty crazy.
Life is pretty awesome.
Cade's favorite...
