October Fun

This week, we had parent-teacher conference at Cade's school. It was great, he's learning and making friends and all that good stuff. At school they have "centers," these centers teach different things, though they really just look like play stations. He doesn't like going to the art center, which I already knew by lack of art I get. He has a little trouble with cutting and he's timid when asked a question...he doesn't want to be wrong. All these things are normal, and we just have to work on them. This weekend we already did some art and I've made him count just about everything. And asked him questions constantly, prediction questions. For example he pointed out some birds flying, so i asked, "where do you thinking they're going." He answered and all was good, we'll just keep going.

What does one do on a Saturday???? We often head out for breakfast.
This week we headed to Chick-Fil-A. We love us some chicken.

Nathaniel was very frustrated he couldn't get to the top of the playground. He wanted to go down the slide soooooooo bad, but was too scared to climb up to it.

So was Cade, but I bribed him. So he braved it, but did not brave the slide. These boys are so similar, but so different.

Later we met Michael, Hillary, & London for dinner at Evaronis (in all the world, there is only one ;) Then went to the pumpkin house. A local homeowner that carves A LOT of pumpkins and puts them all over, even choreographs to music some of them. There was a million people there. Ok not really, but it felt like it. We went and were glad we did. I have no photos of London, I thought Michael might send me some, but no such luck yet. We separated out of frustration with a two year old, but still ended up walking back to the cars together.

A photo op moment...hat he decided last minute not to participate in.

A try for together pics.

A run to McDs for a potty, a drink, and apparently fries.

...and apples.
